Back to School

Boy a lot has happened since my last post...

Holiday break was lots of fun, although most of my free time was spent at work. By the way, for those of you who don't know, I am a Beauty Consultant for Estee Lauder cosmetics and it is seriously the best job ever! Here are a few pictures of me and my co-workers at dinner after a cosmetics convention in Las Vegas...I get to go again in February and I can't wait!

I also started school as a Communications major! I finally decided on a major I couldn't believe it! I love all of my classes, everyone is so motivated and excited to participate! My professors are awesome and I can't wait to see what more is in store for me in the upcoming semester. I am especially excited about my Public Speaking class, I really think that it is going to turn out to be one of my favorite classes I have ever taken!

Anyways, I will have much more to talk about as soon as I get more acquainted with all of my new classes. I will keep you all posted!

Closer to the End.

Last weekend was the Ambassador Rebel Retreat--I mean DSC Retreat. It was so much fun. Almost forty high school seniors came to the campus, participated in fun activities and slept in the gymnasium overnight. We all went to the Entertainment Dixie which was a Battle of the Sexes and then to a huge bonfire out on the Arizona strip. It was tons of fun!

School is getting closer and closer to being finished. I only have a few more assignments and then finals will be here in less than a month. In order to make the time go by faster I have already started my holiday shopping--you know, to take the load off of things. I have already bought gifts for nearly everyone in my family, well not quite considering that I have a very big family (7 of us in total). I still need to figure out what to get my fiance, it seems like I have gotten him everything in the book!

Hopefully by next weeks blog I will have come up with something to get him. Just maybe...

It's Been a Long Week

Midterms are finally over! YAY! Finally some time to breath! After my last mid-term I went and saw High School Musical 3. Oh yes, I am a sucker for those shows--I have seen every one of them. I wasn't alone however, my fiance and my two little sisters came along. Even though the movie has only been out for a few days, we were the only ones in the theatre which was amazing--no little screaming children to ruin the movie.

School is great, I've met with a counselor from the Communications program three times this week and now I am officially a Public Communications major! Go me! I am really excited to begin my classes next fall, and if I can stick to it I will be done with my Bachelor's Degree in less than two years!

Overall, it's been a long week, but its been all in good fun.

Midterm Madness!

This week was full of everything midterms! In three days I had to cram in time to study as well as take four tests! I haven't received any of my results back which makes me nervous--until I get the grade I keep thinking that I failed. My last test is today, so I hope that I will be able to do well even though I haven't had much time to study. I can't wait until the day is over so I will be able to relieve some stress! But I have to stop writing now so I can get back to studying--WISH ME LUCK!

Park City Weekend!

This weekend was UEA for Dixie State so we had a 4-day weekend! Halelujah! My fiance and I decided to head up to Park City with some friends to enjoy the weekend. While we were there we made sure to get our fill of the wonderful variety of food Park City and Salt Lake have to offer. P.F. Chang's, Cafe Rio, Main Street Pizza & Noodle, Rubios, Jamba Juice and Cheesecake Factory were all on the menu. In order to burn off all of the calories we had consumed we made sure to take a hike each day we were there. The weather was beautiful, and the leaves were just starting to turn. On our last night in Salt Lake we decided to go to the Haunted Village at This is the Place Monument. At first I thought it would be more geared for younger kids and was dreading the thought of going, however it turned out to be one of the most exciting things I have ever done. We all agreed that we would make it a UEA tradition every year!
